After effects of anesthesia in 6 year old05/30/2007 |
My 6 year old grandson had a tonsillectomy 3 weeks ago. He complains about headaches and his tongue hurting. We notice that his speech is thick sometimes also. He is awake every night on the hour, waking with screaming pain. Comments? I am taking him to his pediatrician today, hopefully. Sleep deprivation is killing us.
This does not sound like it would have had anything to do with the anesthetic that your grandson received 3 weeks ago. I hope that your pediatrician was able to diagnose and effectively treat the problem.
