My weight?06/08/2007 |
hi , im 19 , 160.5 cm , and i weigh 53 kg , is this the right weight for me?
At a height of 160.5 cm and a weight of 53 kg, your BMI (Body Mass Index) is 20.7 using the adult BMI charts and 19.8 using the female child/teen BMI charts. Both are within the normal range (Normal = BMI 18.5 to 24.9).
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person's weight and height. Formula: weight (kg) / [height (m) X height (m)] With the metric system, the formula for BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. Since height is commonly measured in centimeters, divide height in centimeters by 100 to obtain height in meters.
BMI is a reliable indicator of body fatness for people. BMI does not measure body fat directly, but research has shown that BMI correlates to direct measures of body fat. Your weight is 'right' until your BMI reaches 25.
