Root Canals |
Why would a tooth hurt long after root canal?06/05/2007 |
I had a root canal done twice on the same tooth in a relatively short amount of time. It was done by my regular dentist. My tooth still hurts when I push or tap it lightly and if I wiggle it. It does not hurt when I eat or drink. This root canal was done about a year ago. Should I just let it go or should I have it checked out by an endodontist?
It is never a bad idea to get another evaluation or opinion when you have a doubt or question about the way you are healing. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if what you are experiencing is normal or not since I do not have enough information. The potential sources of pain are numerous and may be unrelated to the tooth itself.
