re Question 51707
The patient is being treated with 80 mg revation, tid, also 80 mg lasix tid and 100 spironolactone qd, and lisinopril 20 mg qd, she has increased diff breathing with movement, though is comfortable @ rest, and is morbidly obese with severe right sided restrictive cardiomyopathy.
Sounds like she has not had much improvement from the revatio. Consider discussing other treatment options with your doctor. To answer your previous questions, if somebody as sick as her fails to respond to treatment then we are looking at about a year. They may benefit from treatment with intravenous lasix in the hospital to help with fluid retention. If the patient is worsening and not responding to treatment, it is not unreasonable to let them stay at home with hospice care.
