What are Some Good Bone Supplement Medications?07/30/2007 |
I am hoping you can provide me with some suggestions for the best bone supplement, through either perscription or over the counter.
I am not sure what you mean by "bone supplement". A healthy diet with adequate calcium (~1200 mg calcium/day with much of it through natural food products and supplements of only 500 mg at a time) and vitamin D (~800 IU/day) are considered to be good for the bones. If you are deficient in gastric acid, calcium citrate would be recommended as a supplement.
