Breast Cancer

Small bulge in chest

08/07/2007

Question:

I have a small lump in left side of my chest for the past 2 years...What could it be? Reply is needed...

Answer:

I'm not sure that this is a breast question.  Bulges under the skin could be a number of things, but it is hard to say without knowing exactly where the bulge is and examining it.  Some of the benign causes include lipomas (benign fatty tumors) and epidermal inclusion cysts or sebaceous cysts.  This could also be a malignancy.  I think the safest course of action would be to show to your regular doctor for advice.
