Sarcoidosis |
Neurosarcoidosis08/03/2007 |
I have had Neurosarcoidosis for 10 years. I was never told about it being a lung problem. I have had tremendous pain throughout my body. I have some numbness in my legs. I have restless leg at night and at times have terrible cramping in one leg or another. At times my neck hurts and left hip. I am under a doctors care.
Dear Sir/Madam-The symptoms of sarcoidosis can be very different from one individual to the next. The lung is commonly (over 90% of the time) involved, but it is not unusual that other parts of the body are more severely affected.
As you know, neurosarcoidosis is difficult to treat and can involve almost any part of the nervous system. Some people with neurosarcoidosis benefit from treatment with medicines that decrease the activity of the immune system.
