Bleeding and Clotting Disorders

Sister with blood clots in both lungs.

Question:

My sister is 23 years old. She has Diabetes and was diagnosed with blood clots in both lungs about 6mo. ago. She was on Coumadin for abot 4mo. then they took her off. She was just hospitalized for the same signs and symptoms she had when first diagnosed, but the facility says she does not have any clots and have not ran any test to determine this as so. What should my mother do?

Answer:

This is a difficult question because symptoms for many problems can be the same. I would talk to the physician in charge and present your concerns.
