Arthritis and Rheumatism

Symvisc

08/31/2007

Question:

Why not use symvisc as opposed to knee replacement?

Answer:

They do different things. Synvisc relieves symptoms somewhat. It is of no use in joints that are so far gone that they require replacement. That is what joint replacement does - useful for joints that are pretty far gone.
