Catastrophic09/06/2007 |
In speaking to my husband`s doctor, he used the word "catastrophic" to describe his stroke. I didn`t have the presence of mind to ask him what he meant. I`m assuming it refers to the level of severity. Am I right? Where on the scale of severity does it come? What does it it imply?
Yes, I would interpret catastrophic to be a reference to the severity, especially with regard to how disabling the stroke was. It has no other specific meaning to me as an expert in stroke.
