White gums09/06/2007 |
I went to the dentist to get a filling about four days ago. About two days after having the filling done, the gums (only on the back side) around the teeth have turned white/gray with red edging (it`s kind of like a patch of white). They are extremely painful and the teeth are sore as well. The gums between the teeth and at the base of the teeth in the front are red as well. It is very painful to the touch (I brush, but it hurts very badly and causes bleeding). Why might this be? (P.S. I will be going to the dentist ASAP, but it`s a holiday weekend so it will have been about 4 or 5 days since this problem has developed). THANKS!
I agree you should have the doctor check the area for a possible allergic reaction. More than likely the area had slight trauma.
