What is the sucess rate of the seed thearpy?
Seed therapy (also called brachytherapy) is effective therapy for patients with localized prostate cancer. Recurrence rates are in the range of 30% at 5 years after therapy but they vary based on the volume of cancer and the grade. Low volume and low grade disease responds better to therapy. Recurrent disease can be treated in a variety of ways and because prostate cancers are slow growing many patients do very well for years and years.
