Popliteal artery aneurysm10/08/2007 |
Would a venous reflux test show a popliteal artery aneurysm? I keep having this sporatic pulsating pain that started at the back of my knee and has since change to the back of my lower thigh. Sometimes after I have one of those pains I get a bruise.
This sounds like venous reflux or problems with the valves in the veins. Ultrasound is used to check the valves. If your ultrasound included a look at the vessels behind the knee then the popliteal artery and vein would have been visualized and any abnormalities, including popliteal aneurysms, would have been seen. Best of luck!
