Pain in damaged teeth10/15/2007 |
My son, aged 3 years, had a fall and damaged his front two teeth. Cracks can be seen on the teeth. They are clearly painful to him. Is it advisable to just wait until these teeth are replaced by adult teeth?
Anytime there is dental trauma - a thorough examination by a dentist is advised. There are effects of the trauma that are sometimes not immediately visible. Also, there may be damage to the permanent teeth that a dentist can determine. Especially as there is pain involved, an immediate visit to the dentist is recommended.
