Menopausal reference range/blood test for fsh10/23/2007 |
I had a blood test done to see what stage I was at with menopause. I`m 48 yrs. old and haven`t had a period for 4 yrs. My fsh level was 72.8 and my Lh level was 32.8 I was told I was postmenopausal. Please tell me this is true? I`m starting a new relationship after my divorce and want no more babies.I I had one of those surpirse`s at the age of 40 and I had the Norplant then and it was not due to be updated for another year. Thank you for your time.
By your history you are most likely menopausal. To be sure another condition has not contributed to your lack of menses, you could check your thyroid level (TSH) and your prolactin level.
