Has my 9 yr old girl got anxiety or just bad behaviour? Will not sleep in her room, will not go to the kitchen or bathroom if everyone is in bed (lights are on and it could be 7.30pm) is worried someone will break in or is always worried about various things too many to mention. Will disrupt the whole house with paranoid and temper behaviour. She has been diagnosed with separation anxiety but is this more?
Your child already has one anxiety disorder, and it sounds like she may have fears and phobias as well. I would seek professional assistance for you child. Some of these behaviors may not necessarily be impairing, although they apparently disrupt your household.
