What is meant by the term nodule.
A nodule is a generic term for a mass. It can be fluid-filled or solid. It can be benign or cancerous.
It is the same thing as saying that you have a "ball"...that ball could be a ping pong ball, a football, a soccer ball, or a soft ball. Using the term "ball" doesn't tell you how large it is, whether it is solid or filled with air, whether it is round or oblong, etc.
