Soft lumps on roof of mouth

11/28/2007

Question:

For several months I have had soft lumps on roof of my mouth. Was sent to ENT doctor who has twice removed them. Biopsy were negative.Doctor says let it go until it becomes painful, which they do after 2 or 3 weeks. This time the soft lump is there and there is a hard lump above gums both painful plus I have developed a very sore lump in my armpit.Does this have a connection? Isn`t there anything that will stop this except let them go until I can`t stand the pain and go let him lance it again.

Answer:

It would be impossible to say what this problem is, based on this description. You should make an appointment to see an oral pathologist for further evaluation.
