How to stop taking Sinemet11/28/2007 |
a good number of years ago, my doctor put me on sinemet to treat restless leg syndrone. I am and been for about a month also taking Requip for RLS. How can I safely quit the sinemet. Thanks
Generally, this forum is for Parkinson's disease. However, Sinemet is used to treat Parkinson's disease as well. Stopping this medication abruptly is typically avoided, and a schedule to wean off this medication needs to be individualized for every patient. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with individual advise regarding this matter, but I suggest you contact the physician who prescribed the Sinemet to discuss a safe weaning schedule.
