Donating plasma/vein scarring11/29/2007 |
Good morning. I am considering donating plasma on once a week basis. I`ve read online one concern is potential scarring of the vein. What does this mean for my longterm health? Are there any other issues related to a weekly plasma donation I should be concerned with? If I donated on occasion 2 times a week, is this anymore harmful? I am 44 and healthly, and active. Thanks for your time.
Occasionally if the same vein is used on a weekly basis, scarring could potentially occur, but this should have no significant impact on your health if you are otherwise healthy.
