After gall bladder surgery01/03/2008 |
What causes severe diarrhea after gall bladder surgery? I am concerned about my sister. She is going back to a specialist next week re this condition, but I am curious as to what could cause this. Thanks
There can be many reasons why someone has diarrhea after gallbladder surgery. I would recommend seeing a gastroenterologist for further evaluation. Reasons include too much bile salts being secreted or some times not enough bile to absorb fats. Most of the time the diarrhea is self limited and resolves with time.
