2 year molars

Can 2 year molars cause fevers? Does teething in general cause fevers?

Great question. The literature is largely inconclusive when it comes to teething - but low grade fevers, drooling, 'gnawing on objects', and even bowel disturbances (constipation/diarrhea) have all been associated with teething. It is important to remember that during periods of sickness, when their mouths may hurt, children are very suseptible to dehydration and water intake must be closely watched.

Hope this helps!
