Myasthenia Gravis |
Aricept vs Mestinon01/23/2008 |
Since Aricept is a reversible AChE inhibitor is it useful in the treatment of myasthenia gravis. I am on 300mg of Mestinon and 12.5mg of Prednisone daily.
Although Aricept is a reversible AChE inhibitor, it works only in the central nervous system. Myasthenia Gravis is a disease of the neuromuscular junction, which is in the peripheral nervous system.
