Osteoporosis

Increasing Weight to Normal Conditions

01/04/2008

Question:

I am 26 yaers old. My weight is 45kgs. How can I incease my weight?

Answer:

It would be important to know your height to determine what your weight should be.  Stop smoking if you are smoking.  Check with your doctor to be sure you do not have a thyroid problem or some other cause of low weight.  If all is normal, a consultation with a nutritionist who could review what you are currently eating and make recommendations on what to add would be of help.
