A bruise on my calf01/07/2008 |
I noticed a painful area on my calf, when I checked it it appeared to be a bruise. I haven`t hit it it also has a small knot in it, what do I need to do?
This may be from valves which aren't working properly in your veins - something which can lead to varicose veins. When the valves don't work, there can be back up of blood in certain areas causing a bluish discoloration. An ultrasound of your vein valves can help evaluate this. Good luck!
