Swollen ankle

Question:

My right ankle has been swollen four times so far since last September. I dont remember to have any injury although my general doctor believes that it is caused from an injury. The oedema spread to my toes and on the left side of my foot. The pain does not go away with any painkillers but only with diclofenac. Do you think that my problem is vascular;

Answer:

If the swelling goes away at night then recurs toward end then there could be a problem with the valves in your veins. Have your physician check a venous reflux study. Good luck!
