Can tuberculosis be misdiagnosed for lung cancer?
Yes, occasionally individuals with an abnormality on the x-ray that is thought to be a lung cancer have surgery, and at the time of surgery the piece of lung that is removed reveals tuberculosis infection and not lung cancer.
