Protien in urine02/12/2008 |
I have a 16 yr old son who`s protien in his urine showed a 100?? What is the normal level for a boy that age, he had been in the 20`s for the last 4 years, and not sure what this means when it takes a big increase like that.
Most often it is insignificant. I would have it repeated as a first morning specimen. If it remains elevated, then a 24 hour urine collection for protein and creatinine would be appropriate.
