Am I going through the change of life02/26/2008 |
I`m 42 years old I have alot of backaches and I haven`t had a period since october30,2007 I have had alot of intergestion my breast is very tender I was wondering can you tell me whats going on with my body and also some abdominal cramping am I going through the change of life.
First, be sure you are not pregnant. If not, you are probably perimenopausal. Normal age range for menopause is 41-55. If you are not pregnant, your body may be trying to have a period. You can help it along by taking a progesterone for 12 days. That should bring on a period if you have one brewing. If you have not been in menopause over the last 4 months, be prepared for a heavy period. If your cycles continue to be erratic, check with your physician.
