Irritable bowel syndrome02/26/2008 |
While I suffer occasional bouts of IBS, it mostly under control. However over the past 12 months, if I eat something very cold after the main meal, eg: ice cream for dessert, I experience diarrhea. In fact I need to go to the toilet immediately having eaten whatever is cold.The cold food itself does not seem to be the problem, because at times I have waited til the food is room temperature, eg only eat the icecream after it is completely melted. Whenever I have done this the diarrhea does not occur.
I look forward and thank you for your help.
To be honest with you, I have no idea what is causing that, other than it being a variant of your irritable bowel.
