Hyperglycemia and cocaine03/13/2008 |
My husband is hyperglycemic, he gives himselve insulin injections every day . Recently after using cocaine (speed ball) is his preference, he entered into the hospital, his sugar was 2100, and his blood pressure 200 over 100. Does cocaine use elevate blood sugar, I know it elevates blood pressure.
Yes, it sure can... both directly and also by causing dehydration, which increases the blood sugar level as well.
