Veins on my hands burst02/29/2008 |
My work involves lifting heavy utensils and equipments. Lately I`ve noticed that small veins on my hands burst similar to when one has blood drawn from their veins. I feel pain in those areas as well. I`m not sure what causes this. I haven`t had this problem before. Please advise. Thank you!
It is hard to say too much without having a chance to examine you, but what you describe may just be a result of minor trauma and may not be much to worry about. Several medications as well as increasing age can make the connective tissue more fragile and can sometimes predispose to the rupturing of the vessels.
If the problem gets worse I would encourage you to discuss this with your physician.
