My mother-in-law is taking medication for Alzheimer`s, but she has no memory loss, she has a delayed reaction response and she has a blank stare and she just sits on the couch all day and stares, but absolutely no memory loss. She has no desire to cook, clean, or perform any tasks that at one point she was able to perform. Is this Alzheimer`s?
This person may be depressed. Certainly she should be evaluated by a physician experienced in mental health and dementia.
