Swollen lip out of nowhere03/15/2008 |
Just the other night I noticed a zit like bump on my lip and yesterday it started to swell up a little bit, but today it has swollen about half of my upper lip. Do you have any idea what causes this?
Swollen lip could be a sign of an allergic reaction (angioedema) similar to hives. In that situation though, usually the swelling is rather more uniform instead of being localized to half of the upper lip. A previously unnoticed insect bite could do the same thing. A visit to the doctor will be helpful.
