What is a hypoechoic mass

Question:

what is hypoechoic mass as large as a uterus in the cervix mean? what are the treatment of choice in this condition? 49 yrs of age

Answer:

Hypoechoic means that it is not solid and is more likely fluid filled like a cyst. The cervix can have cysts, but they are usually smaller than a uterus. Thy could have seen an ovarian cysts that looked like it was part of the cervix. The treatment depends on the origin of the cyst. Additional imaging like an MRI could help differentiate between the structures.
