Concerning having children04/28/2008 |
My fiance and I have been trying to have kids for awhile now. We havent had much luck yet and I was woundering if this was do to a growin hernia that I have. I have asked my doctor this before but he always seems to avoid answerring me. Please give me some advice.
If you have been attempting to conceive for more than 1 year without success, an infertility work-up would be appropriate. This would consist of a semen analysis in you to assess sperm count, movement and appearance. Your wife would have testing to see if she ovulates, as well as a dye test to see if the tubes are open. If your semen analysis were normal, it would be unlikely that your hernia would have any impact on your infertility.
