Thick uterus lining05/06/2008 |
I am 43 and 5 month ago I had a C-section. Since then I did not have a period . This month I had some light bleeding for 12 days. I went to my doctor and he performed a ultrsound with saline solution. I have a thick uterine wall but not fibroids o anything else. He wants me to have a biopsy. I am very scaerd waiting for the result of the biopsy. I never had bleeding beside my period.
It is likely normal given your age, but a biopsy would help determine if there was still placental tissue present or possibly an infection. I understand your fear of the results, but more fearful would be not knowing why you are having this abnormal bleeding.
