More muscle spasms from old coccyx injury?

05/05/2008

Question:

Thank you for your time. About 10 yrs ago I injured my tailbone from snowboarding, never had it x-rayed knowing not much could be done. Now I am suddenly having increased muscle spasm jerking 95% during the night from the lower spine to my neck/head. I have had temporary paralysis whilst walking a few times off/on I believe due to this injury also. I am concerned about the increased involuntary muscle spasms. Is this going to keep increasing like it has? P.S. I also am a avid horseback rider which could aggrevate this? My tailbone never fused completely since childhood...I feel no pain with any of these symptoms, but the occassional spasm keeps me up at night & worried..Thanks for any advise.
