Abnormally long period05/29/2008 |
I will be 50 in July. My doctor had my blood drawn on Tuesday to check my hormone levels because I have had a period since April 2, 2008. What could be causing this besides menopause? What can be done to stop the bleeding while I wait for the results? Thanks!
You could try a form of progesterone to stop the bleeding. You may need a pelvic ultrasound or an endometrial biopsy to be sure nothing else besides menopause is causing the problem.
