Bleeding after a hysterectomy06/25/2008 |
2006 I had a hysterectomy and since that time I have experienced a small amount of bleed with a certain positions (in the man behind and the woman on hands and knees). I have had no bleeding in any other position, only this one. When I had the hysterectomy I was told my cervix is badly tilted. Is this normal to bleed after a hysterectomy?
You shouldn't be experiencing any bleeding after a total hysterectomy. You may have some tissue that hasn't completely healed at the top of the vagina that is continuing to bleed with contact. This can easily be treated. You should be evaluated for any other lesions that could be causing bleeding. There is additional information at this previously answered question:
