I recently had an infection in the gum line on the left side of my mouth. I noticed that my tongue has a yellow stripe on the same side. Could this be part of the infection? I have been using peroxide and brushing the tongue but it is still yellow.
While it would be unlikely for the tongue to be "infected" without significant pain and swelling, it is also impossible to say exactly what this represents based on the information that is given. Should the problem persist or should symptoms develop, ideally you should be seen by an oral pathologist.
