Heartburn after food poisoning06/18/2008 |
I had food poisoning a few days ago, it lasted for 3 days with a lot of vomiting, etc. I would seldom get heartburn, but ever since then, I get bad heartburn no matter what I eat or even if I don`t eat. Is there some kind of connection between food poisoning and heartburn? And is it temporary? Thanks.
I think more of the problem was the vomiting. The acid you were bringing up likely caused some inflammation in the esophagus. You may want to try over the counter Prilosec for a while to see if it helps.
