My wife 55 years has constant diarrhea06/05/2008 |
She had surgery 12 years ago on sphincter repair. About the last year her doctor has not been able to find anything to stop or slow down the diarrhea. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you
There are many causes of loose stool. The root cause of the loose stool must be identified before the right treatment can be given. Some diarrhea is caused by oversecretion of certain substances; other diarrhea is caused by failure of absorption. The treatments are varied, but usually very specific. Consider a visit to your gastroenterologist to define the cause and offer a cure.
