Pain in left leg a few days now swollen05/27/2008 |
A bit feaked out - a long holiday weekend and my left leg has had a bit of pain in the middle of it for a day or so. Yesterday the calf area and foot swell up. Kept leg up last night swelling seems to have gone down -- now that I am up it seems to be coming back. Is it an emergency?
Hi. If it goes away with elevation, then this may be a problem with the valves in your legs resulting in swelling. If the swelling persists overnight or gets worse, you need an ultrasound to rule out a blood clot.
