Braces |
Space hard to close06/09/2008 |
I am an adult, with a frontal and lateral overbite. I needed the braces and jaw surgery. Within the 2, almost 3 yrs. of wearing the braces, I am very unhappy with the results. I`ve decided not to have the jaw surgery because of all the pain with the braces. I had to have 4 extractions (4 canine teeth) and the trouble is the last space will not close; it is the left, top space, on the side of the lateral overbite. Now I`m having pain on that side when I bite down and eat. What can the doctor do to get that last space to close
You need to speak with your doctor about your treatment progress. Adult treatment can last up to 4 years especially if the condition involves a problem that requires surgery to correct.
