Colon cleansing

06/17/2008

Question:

Hi,

What is an effective way to cleanse your colon? Herbal colon cleansers aren`t working and neither are fibre bills. I have irreqular bowel movements, maybe twice a week if i`m lucky.

Answer:

Osmotic laxatives, like glycolax work well and are safe when used under a doctor's supervision. Saline laxatives, like milk of magnesia, are easy too. Be sure to get 30g insoluble fiber and at least 8 large glasses of water per day before you move on to laxative therapy.
