Sleep Disorders

Paralysis for a week after waking up one day

06/23/2008

Question:

At the age of 17 after continuous studying into the early hours, I experienced uncontrollable body shakes which made my body feel like jelly. The next morning I was paralyzed from the neck down unable to move any of my limbs. However I could talk, eat and move my eyes and head. This lasted for about a week during which I progressed slowly back to normal. I was never diagnosed since I wasn`t taken for medical help. Do you know what happened to me?
