Does the birth control pill affect levels of iron in the body - specifically reduce?
Oral contraceptives do not decrease the amount of iron in the body. Some women actually have less iron loss because they have less bleeding with their period while they are on oral contraceptives. The recommended amount of vitamins is not different in women using oral contraceptives.
