Epithelial cells in urine

07/23/2008

Question:

I just had my urine examined yesterday and its result shows epithelial cells. What does this imply? Do I have some kind of renal disorder?

Answer:

Epithelial cells line the inside of the urinary tract and it is not unusual to occasionally find some cells in the urine.
