Itching07/23/2008 |
I have been experiencing itching in one breast, around the nipple. About 7 years ago, I had a benign paploma removed from that breast, and sometimes I have soreness on the side of the breast. I do not feel any lumps, and my mammograms come back normal. What do you think. i just thought it was from the area of the scar of the last surgery. I am very scared.
Itching is rarely a sign of breast cancer. But if you see a sore or scaliness to the nipple with itching, it should be checked. And if the symptom continues, check back in with your breast surgeon or a dermatologist. Keep up with mammograms each year and have your primary care physician do a breast exam each year.
